Amazon is listing Apple’s 13-inch M5 MacBook Air with 24GB of unified memory and a 1TB SSD for $1,599, $200 below the price cited by Wccftech. The deal lowers the cost of the higher-capacity configuration, while other listed M5 MacBook Air configurations are reported to have smaller discounts. See our guide to 13-inch MacBook Air configurations for a comparison of options.
Wccftech describes the $1,599 offer as the lowest price on Amazon for the 24GB-memory, 1TB-storage model and says the discount is about 11 percent. The article also reports that other 13-inch M5 MacBook Air configurations are $150 off, with prices starting at $1,449.99. The retailer’s live listing is the place to check the price, configuration, and availability before ordering, since an online offer can change.
The laptop’s listed specifications include an M5 chip with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, 24GB of unified memory, and a 1TB solid-state drive. The memory is integrated and cannot be upgraded after purchase, making the selected configuration a longer-term choice rather than a component that can be expanded later. The larger drive offers more built-in space for applications and files than lower-storage options, though buyers should weigh the price against their own needs.
Other features cited in the deal report include a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera, four speakers with spatial audio, two Thunderbolt ports, MagSafe charging, a headphone jack, and Touch ID. Apple rates battery life at up to 18 hours. The Air has a fanless design and weighs about 2.7 pounds, according to the article. These are product specifications, not a guarantee of the same performance or battery life for every user or workload.

What the $200 discount changes
The markdown applies to a higher-capacity configuration. Its value depends on whether you will use the extra memory and storage.
Choose memory upfront
The 24GB unified memory is integrated and cannot be upgraded after purchase. Select the capacity that fits your expected use.
Room for files and apps
A 1TB SSD offers built-in space for applications and files. Compare the added cost with how much storage you actually need.
Still a $1,599 purchase
The discount lowers the cited price, but this is not a low-cost laptop. Weigh the configuration against the less expensive listed options.

What the $200 Discount Changes
The offer brings a configuration with more memory and storage below its cited regular price, which may appeal to people who want those capacities built into a portable laptop. The discount is particularly relevant because unified memory is not user-upgradable: purchasers choose the amount at checkout. A 1TB drive can also reduce the need to manage files across external storage, but the value depends on how much space a buyer actually uses.
The price is still $1,599, so the reduction does not make this a low-cost laptop. Shoppers should compare it with the discounted entry configurations and decide whether the extra memory and storage justify the difference. Wccftech reports the other options start at $1,449.99 after a $150 reduction, but the exact configuration behind that starting price should be checked on Amazon before purchase.
For buyers considering an upgrade, the practical question is not whether the M5 model can handle every demanding task, but whether its specifications suit their routine. The listed CPU, GPU, memory, and storage provide a substantial hardware package on paper; actual results depend on applications, workloads, and user expectations. The deal changes the price, not the limits of a thin, fanless laptop or the buyer’s need to choose a fixed memory configuration.

The Configurations Behind the Offer
The reported promotion covers the 13-inch M5 MacBook Air, with the headline discount applying to the configuration equipped with 24GB of unified memory and 1TB SSD storage. The provided details do not specify every configuration included in the broader discount.
The deal report also notes that Amazon purchases through affiliate links may earn Wccftech a commission. Price and Stock Can Change
The report does not state how long the discount will remain available, whether the offer applies to all Amazon shoppers, or how much stock is available. The cited $1,599 price and 11 percent reduction should be treated as a snapshot of the listing described by Wccftech, not a standing price guarantee. Promotional prices can change before checkout.
Details about the other discounted models are also limited: the report gives a starting price of $1,449.99 but does not identify every memory and storage combination covered by the $150 markdown. Buyers should confirm the exact model number and specifications on the product page so they do not confuse the 24GB/1TB configuration with a lower-tier option.
